Program Flow
Our days at Wildwoods vary greatly depending on the children's curiosity, season, weather, and overall needs of our children. Our time together always begins with a Thanksgiving circle, and seasonal song and movement. We will continue our day out on the land exploring and playing. This may include activities such as story-telling, wandering, fort and fairy house building, climbing, animal tracking, nature-inspired and awareness games, digging in the dirt for insects, listening to the birds, nature art, plant/tree identification, and so much more! We always stop and rest for a snack mid-morning, and our lunches around noon. Lunch time is our opportunity to rest and share stories with each other. Following lunch our day flows into more activities and exploration and then into our parting circle, where we share highlights from our time together and we prepare to part ways. Keep in mind our program may vary greatly from day to day, and depending on the ages, this is just an overview.
Note: In the case of unsafe weather conditions we will go indoors.
